How much does office plant service cost per month?

Office plant service is billed against our $75/hour maintenance rate (minimum one hour), so the monthly cost depends on how long each visit takes and how often we come — not a flat fee per plant. A small reception display checked twice a month costs far less than a full-floor plantscape serviced weekly. Rather than publish a single package price, we scope each program to the space, because the number that matters is the one tied to how your office actually looks and functions day to day.
For Denver and Boulder offices, that framing keeps budgets honest. Dry Front Range air, strong window light, and busy foot traffic all shape how much attention plants need, and those conditions vary from one suite to the next. Here is what goes into a realistic monthly figure.
What you are paying for
A maintenance visit is more than watering. During a service call we water to each plant's needs, check soil moisture, prune and clean leaves, rotate plants for even growth, dust or refresh any high-end faux pieces, treat early signs of pests, and swap out anything that is past its prime. The goal is a plantscape that stays camera-ready between visits, not one that limps along until someone notices a problem.
Because the work is billed hourly, the monthly total is simply the time each visit takes multiplied by how many visits you need. That is why two offices with the same plant count can land at different numbers: one may have easy-to-reach planters in good light, while another has hanging installs, a living wall, or specimens in dim corners that need more hands-on care.
The factors that move the monthly number
Number and size of plants. A pair of statement trees in a lobby is quick to service. Repeating troughs down a bench line, greenery in every conference room, and a reception centerpiece add up in both time and attention.
Living versus faux mix. Living plants need regular watering, pruning, and occasional replacement. Quality faux only needs periodic dusting, so a faux-heavy install carries a lower recurring cost — one reason we often recommend faux for dark corners and high-traffic zones where living plants struggle.
Light and access. Plants in strong, consistent light in reach of a water source are efficient to maintain. Low-light placements, tall installs, and hard-to-reach shelves take longer and can shorten the interval between visits.
Visit frequency. This is the biggest lever. Maintenance is available weekly, biweekly, or as-needed. A high-visibility client-facing floor usually justifies weekly service; a smaller, stable set of hardy plants may do well on a biweekly or monthly rhythm.
Weekly, biweekly, or as-needed
Most offices settle into one of three cadences. Weekly service suits lobbies, reception areas, and client-facing spaces where consistency is part of the brand impression. Biweekly works for many small and mid-size offices with a stable, well-lit plant set. As-needed visits fit low-maintenance installs or faux-forward designs that mostly need occasional cleaning and a seasonal check.
Choosing the cadence up front lets us specify plants that match it. If your team prefers a lighter service schedule, we lean toward durable, forgiving species and a larger share of faux, so the design still looks intentional between visits.
Setup versus the ongoing program
It helps to separate the one-time install from the recurring service. The plants, planters, and installation are a fixed project cost — smaller office scopes commonly start around $1,500, with a $300–$750 design proposal (given towards your total amount) and typically a 50% deposit to begin, and lead times often running two to four weeks depending on sourcing. Monthly maintenance is the separate, ongoing line that keeps that investment looking its best. Deciding early whether your staff will handle light upkeep or hand it fully to us keeps the recurring number predictable and avoids surprises after installation.
Getting a number you can budget around
Because every office layout, plant count, and light situation is different, we do not quote a blanket monthly rate. A $75 walkthrough consultation lets us see the space, recommend a plant and planter strategy, and propose a service cadence with an estimated time per visit. From there, the monthly cost is straightforward math against the $75/hour rate (one hour minimum) — and it reflects the plantscape you actually have, not an average.
